2017 Natural Disasters – Ongoing Recovery Efforts

As we move into this Christmas season don’t forget victims and survivors of 2017 natural disasters across our country and Central Mexico our southern border neighbor.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), first responders and private sector relief agencies and private citizens have been doing an amazing job in response to these disasters. There is still a lot of work to get done. Consider donating to the American Red Cross, or find a way to volunteer in your area in support of ongoing recovery efforts.

In Puerto Rico, more than 60 days after Hurricane Maria made landfall, 50% of the island is still without power and running water. The resilience of the Puerto Rican people on this island is heartfelt. Folks, Puerto Ricans have been U.S. citizens since 1917!

Do what you can to support all recovery efforts.
